When you pick a great location, and a great time (sunset!) you just know you're going to get something special! Michelle & James were such a pleasure to spend time, wandering around Lough Tay and Sallygap, chatting about their Wedding, and dodging speed racers in the Wicklow Mountains!! And yet again, Ireland, you're just stunning!!
I encourage all my couples to book an engagement shoot with me, apart from getting some practise in front of the camera, I love getting to hang out, wander around chatting and getting to know each other. Susan & Tom booked me after a Skype (which I am ridiculously awkward with, I tend to ramble at 9 millions miles an hour!), so I was so excited to meet them in person for their shoot. I swear the second I clapped eyes on them I got such a sense of these two - they are such a down to earth, genuine couple, whose ease in each other's company is contagious, that I felt like old friends before long. As they live in London, and were without a car, I picked them up at Heuston Station to head onto Phoenix Park - getting stuck in traffic on such an insanely hot day, listening to my (awesome, and not at all cheesey!) playlist felt like a bit of a bonding experience! I'm so behind with my blog posts that these two actually tied the knot recently, and I can honestly say I was so sad to say goodbye to them, I really hope we get to catch up sometime in the future!! #lovemyjob
Jessica & James eloped from Atlanta, in the US, along with 2 friends who joined them from the UK, for a very intimate wedding. The wedding took place at Waterford Castle, where I was very excited to take the little car ferry across to! Jessica wore a stunning blush pink Vera Wang, which she had shipped over separately, and Jessica Simpson shoes. These two completely indulged me, giving me a full 2 hours to wander around and take photos in the grounds of the castle, I was spoiled rotten!! After a very relaxed few hours strolling around, we then returned to the castle for their ceremony - where everyone teared up (including myself and their celebrant!! Yup!). Definitely not a bad day in the office!! :D

Bojana & Brian came all the way back from New York, along with a large number of their friends and family to celebrate their Wedding Day in the stunning Lough Eske Castle. Bojana had picked a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown for the day! With hair & make-up provided by local girls G & G, flowers by Donegal Florists, Simply Divine, and music provided throughout the day by The Suite, even the odd rain shower couldn't keep the smiles off the faces of these two!!
Allison contacted me about doing a shoot with me when herself and her husband, Brent, visited Ireland, from Atlanta, US. Where and when did she want to do the shoot - whenever and wherever I suggested!! Well, I couldn't think of anywhere better than a little trip around Wicklow, they don't call it the Garden of Ireland for nothing!! We started off in Glendalough, then made our way to the stunning Lough Tay, and then finished up around the Sallygap area. Ireland, you did me proud!!
The best light in the day is either just after dawn, or just before sunset, when the sun is low in the sky - I don't usually get the opportunity to arrange a shoot for these times, but these two were happy to meet up whenever I suggested - I definitely think it paid off!! Love the light in these photos!! Thanks so much, Allison & Brent for trusting me completely on this one! xxxx
This wedding had it all - sun, sea, sand... and a whole heap of Irish shenanigans!! These guys know how to throw a party! Niamh & Shev packed their bags, and brought me with them, for their destination wedding in the gorgeous Sheraton, Fuerteventura in the sun-soaked Canary Islands! The laughs were mighty, the speeches had us all in tears (I can't help it!!), and the dance moves were downright hilarious!! What a wedding!!

Its not often I get to photograph a wedding of a friend, let alone one of my best friends!! I was over the moon when Toby called me to tell me he was engaged, and then even better, would I photograph the Big Day - of course I would!! As luck would have it, Toby & Giao picked the seriously impressive Marlfield House in Wexford - which is just the perfect venue for a wedding, having stunning grounds, with so many beautiful spots for photos, as well as being able to host the ceremony either inside or out!!
Oh Ireland! You have such wonderfully unpredictable weather!! So, one beautifully sunny day, Aine gave me a shout to organise their Engagement Shoot, 2 days from then - should be fine we thought.... nope!! So, we took a wander up Killiney Hill, which should have given amazing panoramic views of Dublin - the weather had something else in mind! Moments after we got to the top, the heavens opened, we were completely drowned! But, I kinda loved it!! It was all misty and moody, completely not what you want on your wedding day, but for an Engagement Shoot, well, it definitely added something different!
Aine & Michael were so much fun, totally indulging me with my love of all the moody weather, even though they were cold and wet! I honestly can't wait for their wedding in a few months in the seriously stunning, Cliff at Lyons - with a couple this super, its going to be an amazing day, sun or rain!! :)
A beautiful location, on a fantastic day - you couldn't ask for more!! Georgie & Duncan's engagement shoot, in the stunning Killruddery House and Gardens. Getting a few practise shots in ahead of the Big Day!
So this little wedding was something special!
Katie & Bob eloped from the US to get married in Ireland. Even though it poured rain all day, and was freezing, I felt so proud of our beautiful country, driving around West Cork - we've some country!! I'd never heard of Gougane Barra before, when I rounded the corner and finally saw it, I was actually in awe!!
